Step 1 : Define the PROBLEM
Step 2 : Determine the CAUSE
Step 3 : Identify clearly WHAT SHOULD BE
Step 4 : Generate ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS
Step 5 : Decide COURSE OF ACTION
Step 6 : Know the POTENTIAL PROBLEMS of your course of action
6(a): What can go wrong?
6(b): What can I/we do about it?
Step 7 : Implement ACTION PLAN
Step 8 :Follow up RESULTS

Decision Making Process

Make a visible DECISION STATEMENT
Develop OBJECTIVES
Determine MUST and WANT objectives
Weigh the WANT objectives
Develop your ALTERNATIVES or SOLUTIONS
Write in DATA for all Objectives and assign WEIGH for each WANT objective
Multiply the WEIGHT of each desired objective by the WEIGHT each remaining alternatives and ADD the resultant values
Consider the RISKS of the top two alternatives
Make a BALANCED decision
Develop ways to MINIMISE any risks of the selected alternative
