What The Irony...

Here's the events leading up to the ironic event...
Sun nite wuz @ CT Hall till 3 am...
Clearing up all the stuffz N watever...
Went Newton Circus for drinks...
Reached home nearly 5 plus...
Slept for like 2 hours N off 2 the office next morning...
Crazy huh..?
Wat2do, duty calls...
Diz equates to Fatigue...
Anywayz, zombified me, cleared all my work in half a day...
Eyes damn heavy, brain functioning only @ 50%...
Working alone as the rest were on duty off...

In the second half of the day, met my Dear...
To settle a major problem... (of which i cannot disclose...)
Diz equates to loss of Concentration or occupied mind...
Problem could not be settled there N then so had 2 come back later...
So Syg joined my family 4 break fast... (proud of her..)
Had 2 drive my mum 2 Sheng Siong for our Hari Raya groceries...
Busy week preparing for F1 and Hari Raya...
We then head 2 Geylang for Dear's final Raya purchases...
Crowded sia the place...
Parking was disastrous...
Luckily got diz car which was going out so I took the lot...
Free parking somemore... (hehehee..)
Took off ard 11 plus N again caught in the Jams & Penut Butter...
Finally settled the major problem around 12 plus...
N diz is where the shit happened...

Drove off from my parked car N was near Syg's workplace...
It was a normal drive for me except it was late @ nite...
Datz where I saw it, a Puleeze car...
It wuz juz driving out from a petrol station...
Heck care so I juz drove as per normal...
Nearing diz junction saw diz car wifout itz headlights on...
Wuz telling my Dear how dangerous it is...
"Maybe saving battery bah" i joked...
So @ de junction, i wuz beside it...
So gave de driver a hand signal for itz headlights...
Not sure if she acknowledge, so i juz drove off... (aunty driving..)

Continued my journey again, for a while...
Itz was a 70 km/hr road and i wuz drivin ard the same speed...
Some cars pass by me N den I saw it again...
The freakin Puleeze car tailing me from the back..!
It quickly sped up beside me N pointed 2 the front...
I asked Syg wat they want as she wuz blocking my view...
Next came the blinkers N a short siren... (kaozz...)
I kena flag down by a Puleeze car sia...(machiam in the muvees liddat...)
So i stop @ de side, hazard lights and wind down...
Heart wuz beating very fast sia, coz dunno wat i did wrong...
Din tink I wuz speeding... (alot more cars faster than me...)
Definitely not drunk drivin... (i steady driver...)
Den i thot, shuld be becoz of my Zhng car... (oh crap..)

Then stepped out diz young officer N walked 2 my side... (shuld be PNSF..)
PO - Good morning Sir. I need you to step out of the car please...
Me - Ok.
Din feel like asking him wats wrong so juz obey lor...
Walked 2 de back and he asked for my IC and Driving licence...
After doing so, he explained why i was flagged down...
PO - Sir, the reason we stopped you is because you were driving without your headlights on...
Me - What The Fuck..!?
Hahahahahhaaa...
You shuld haf seen my face and reaction @ dat time lah...
Moment of disbelief, anger, laughter, disappointment all @ the same time..!
Imagine the irony, there I was informing other drivers to switch on their headlights...
Where I had not done so myself..!
Then he continued...
PO - Under section... bla, bla, bla... No demerit points... $30 fine...
Me - Wah kao eh...
PO goes on asking where i wuz going, how come nvr switch on the headlights...
So i told him the scenario that happened... (dunno whether he believe me...)
Luckily he not kuai lan, else i will put him on the spot...

Din tell him who I was also, coz dun tink it would make much of a difference...
But kena fine 30 bux, quite taxing eh...
Havent even Hari Raya muz give away $$$ liao...
Give 2 gubberment somemore... (pui..)
I thot they shuld practice some leniency...
Give me warning, hear me out...
It wasn't on purpose and definitely wasn't posing a threat 2 others...
No, he straight away saman me... (iskh...)
Aniwaes, after all's done, went back 2 the car and told Syg about it...
She felt bad N told me itz her fault... (dun worry Dear, not your fault..)
She also did not realised dat i nvr switch on the headlights...
It was my wrong judgement, my carelessness, my bad...
Haiiizzz, juz haf 2 wait for the Letter lor...

Do you think I shuld appeal to waive the fine..?
Those words i wrote in blue would be the reasons...
From F1 to sleep to work to major problem to Hari Raya...
To fatique to remind other drivers to not on purpose to carelessness...
Would my reasons be valid..? (hmmm...)
C how lah, when i get the letter...
Truly Shakespearian sia diz episode...
Kena saman by de ppl i work with...
Reminding others on a mistake I got penalised on...
2 relatively new drivers who cannot spot a clear mistake...
Moral of the story is, look at yourself first before you look at others...
2nd moral of the story, install an auto-light surrounding sensor...
Which can switch on your headlights automatically when its dark...
Period.
