HAH.! Finally...

Finally got maiself a 32" LCD TV...

Better yet, a FULL HD LCD TV...

Just dats its a local brand..

But who cares, it's jus for my bedroom..

SITEX was selling it at $499..

Expensive sia...

I got it a $385..!!

A bargain..!

Better yet, i got it from Carrefour..

So got rebates.. yeas arh..!

Satisfied with the purchase..

Its quite big also..

Now to find a wall mount for it and DIY...

Well dats my EOY purchase...

1 more week..

Counting down, 1 week or 7 more days to go..!

Vouchers

Here's something random..

Was @ NTUC CCK 2day when i saw diz lady at the cashier..

Trying to purchase NTUC vouchers..

So the cashier took out 1 whole stack of vouchers...

Then the lady took out $60 worth of Capitaland vouchers...

N asked whether she can pay using the Capitaland vouchers...

(CCK Lot 1 is a Capitaland building)

The cashier gave a "Oh crap, I nvr encounter diz b4" look...

N when over to another cashier, presumably an experienced one..

The experienced one replied a confident, "NO, CANNOT"

Lady din make a big fuss N juz left...

The cashier kept mumbling to herself while keeping the NTUC vouchers she took out...

THE END...

But it left me thinking.. (boring mah, nid 2 get ma brayns werking..)

Y the lady want to limit herself to juz NTUC vouchers when she can use elsewhere?

Why not juz use the vouchers at NTUC?

One possibility could be the Capitaland vouchers were expiring N she wanted to extend them...

Not in need to purchase $60 worth of NTUC goods..

Or mabbe she wanted to split the vouchers.. 20, 20, 20..

(The Capitaland vouchers were 50, 10)

One thot came to mind...

She could ask shoppers to use the vouchers for her..

N pay her for it.. I wouldnt mind if she approached me.. Would you.?

Then there is the NTUC side of the story...

Why cant they accept the Capitaland vouchers to be used 4 their vouchers..?

Im not sure.. Coz in the first place, how does vouchers work for retailers..?

Issit they(the retailers) return the vouchers used by shoppers to Capitaland..

Who in turn, return back the value of the vouchers to the retailers..?

Or thru rental rebates..? i dunno..

Oh well, datz my random post for the year, i guess..

Another 1 for the record books...

Alrites, here's another 1 for the record books...

Yesterday, I was a hero..

I might have saved many human lives in my heroic act...

Wahh.. Powerderfull.. hehehhe...

Here's wat happened..

Was on the way to werk, along my main road...

Heard a screeching sound of a car jambraking...

And a loud CRRAASSHH..!

Was like 1 mins away from where I was...

So i hurriedly head over to the crash site...

There it was, a white Mitsubishi Lancer crashing on to a traffic light...

It was the part where pedestrian waiting to cross..

Luckily no pedestrian was there at the point of impact...

So back to my HEROic act.. hehe..

By the tyme i reached the site, some helpful SGeans were there helping the driver out...

& of course some SGeans, juz standing down there, doing nuthin..

Some taking piktures and mabbe some copying 4D numbers.. U neber noe sia..

The driver was wearing an army uniform, old version so confirm a reservist..

(or some lao jiao who never ORD)

Then there was diz Malay guy, practically shouting @ him..

"U were speeding.. I move out almost halfway oreadi.. u drive too fast.."

So I deduce the reservist was moving fast & de malay guy wanted to turn right at the opposite side...

Lancer cannot brake in time, swerve to avoid turning car N crashed into the traffic lights...

The car's bumper was non-existent, boot half open..

Siren blasting, hazard lights on, wipers moving and smoke coming out from the engines...

N there I was looking if there were any casualties..

No blood, good sign.. The helpful SGeans had took out the reservist N taking care of him...

Howeva, no one did anithing to the car which was fuming smoke...

So lim pei went forward to open the front driver door.. Cannot, locked...

Saw the airbag deflated.. It saved the driver's life...

Den I went over to the left passenger door... Saw smoke coming out from front aircon..

Wah, balls shrank.. Turned around N told some apek bystander that we muz switch off the engine...

Apek bo hiu me.. Looking at driver.. I took another look at the car...

Smoke coming out of front bonnet, seeping to the aircon...

Hazard light, wipers on.. Insides damn smoky...

If i dun turn off the engine, diz thing mite explode...

All bystanders not paying attention about car, juz the driver...

So I took a deep breathe, swallowed my saliva & dived in to the smoky car..

<<< [Freeze frame..] Try imagine... >>>

Crawled to the driver seat, saw the key & turned it off...

N retreated back outside..

Fuhh, disaster averted...

Went to the driver N placed the key on his hand..

He was like, "Huh?" Blur N confirmed disorientated..

"Your keys, I turned off the engine", this hero said & left him...

Then carried on my journey, feeling proud of myself for the heroic act...

I guess nobody knew wat i did, it doesnt matter..

A true hero never require anything in return for saving lives...

So that is definitely 1 for the record books... :)

Had a super emo Hari Raya diz year...

Usually i dun get so emo on Hari Raya...

Juz the normal Maaf Zahir Batin..

Wateva feelings i had, i will keep it to myself..

But diz year wuz totally different...

And it was not due to the normal mintak maaf scenario..

1st day of Raya, i had not 1 but 2 shocks of my life..

Imagine dat.. Hari Raya.. No other day tau..

1st shock was a surprise to me..

2nd one totally 'killed' me..
